Experience the bush in comfort

Kaoko Bush Lodge is the ideal accommodation stop over from which to explore the wild beauty and diversity of Damaraland and Kaokoland.

Whether you stay a day or two to discover the unique rock engravings and cultural villages of Kamanjab or plan to head further north, at Kaoko Bush Lodge you will be ensured a comfortable stay.

Situated only 8 km from Kamanjab, en-route to Opuwo, Kaoko Bush Lodge offers cozy private bungalows and convenient camping facilities, as well as an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The lodge is situated inside our own game park. We have more than 18 different species of game and over two hundred bird species, many indigenous to the area, that can be viewed at the waterhole just 30 meters away from our restaurant and bar. The lodge also has a swimming pool for cooling down after a full day of exploring. A large solar rig means that we are completely off the grid and our water is sourced from uncontaminated underground springs.

Kamanjab is the perfect gateway to the Kaokoveld, where adventure in one of the most pristine landscapes in the world awaits. The town is situated in the Kunene region, known for its rugged mountains, dry river beds, abundance of game and birdlife. It is a popular destination for people who would like to experience a bit of uninhabited wilderness. Kamanjab has several well-stocked supermarkets, fuel stations & tyre shops to make sure you are ready for the trip of a lifetime.
