Activities at Kaoko Bush Lodge
Our Bushcamp is situated in a game park of 3000 hectare. Apart from about 18 different game species we also have more than 200 bird species of which at least two species are endemic to the area.
Among the game species we have are, Mountain Zebra (Equus zebra), Eland (Taurotragus Oryx), other more endemic species such as Giraffe, Kudu, Warthog, Duiker, Springbuck etc.
Bird watchers can look forward to see Damara Rockrunners (Achaetops pycnopygius), Klipfisant (Pternistes hartlaubi) and Blue Cheeked bee-eaters (Merops persicus) as well as the other species found here.

Tuskers Bar and Restaurant:
Our Fully licensed Restaurant is open daily, serving breakfast and a 3 course set menu for dinner.
In the evenings we offer a variety of mouth watering venison, lamb and beef dishes, complemented by home grown vegetables and salads. Vegetarians or vegans can be accommodated through advance notice. Please notify us when booking or at check-in. The breakfast menu consist of a traditional hot English breakfast made to order as well as a Continental buffet with cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and cereals. Why not try our delicious omelette with fillings of your choice before you hit the road?
In the afternoon you can take in the relaxed atmosphere with a cold beer at our very popular Tuskers Bar, offering an unobstructed view of the waterhole a mere 30 meters away. Or have a gin and tonic as you watch the sunset before a delicious dinner.
The Restaurant and bar is also open to campers, but do let us know in advance if you would like to have breakfast and dinner.

Relax around the campfire and experience the sounds and sights of nature. On dark moon nights you will be amazed at how bright the stars and milky way can be. The waterhole is also a good choice after dinner, floodlights make it possible to enjoy the wildlife even at night.
