The lodge is closed to the Galton Gate to Etosha and close to some other attractions like cheetah farm, himba village etc...
The hiking trail on the farm is great for bird watching.

We recommend to stay here!

To start with the positives:

- facilities are modern

The not so good:
- only drops coming from the shower
- many insects in the room
- lobby did have sofas but it's not very cosy
- bright lights shining into the room at night
Overall it was way below the average of the accommodations we had during the rest of the trip.

  heading for etosha westgate fill your gasoline up at kamanjab. this small lodge park with camp site sits just outside kamanjab. small, basic but clean lodges, affordable too. had dinner... read more there at also affordable prices. staff is friendly, only thing to do is to make a 3 km trail on the park to the bird spotting hide out. in the evening you can see some eland (elk) at the drinking pool just meters away from the terrace/restaurant. breakfast was included but wasnt too basic to talk about. beds are ok’ish, showers nice and warm. wifi available at restaurant area (african speed)

all in all, pretty ok if one would stay here for an overnight stopover to olifantsrus More

  Stayed 1 night on our way from Etosha to Uis. Very quiet and clean place. The rooms are a bit small, but cosy. Just a pity, they have no airco,... read more just a fan, and it was very hot when we were there. The room has windows at 2 sides, all with mosquito screens and so we were able to let the windows open all night, to have some fresh air. Breakfast is just standard, but they were so friendly to offer it half an hour more early than normal, because we had a long trip and some visits to do on our day of departure. Dinner was fine and was eaten on the terrace. Very small swimmingpool, more to put your feet in, and little posibilities to sit there. The lodge is a 25 km drive from the Himba Orphan Village, that offered us an interesting visit. In Kamanjab, you have a petrol station and some supermarkets.

Rooms are very hot until it gets cooler late in the evenings. Staff were friendly and try very hard to please guests. Signage was very poor from main road (still old name on the road, perhaps this has been changed since our stay?). Some of the meals were nice, others average. The bread was dry so couldn't eat it. There was no communication from the staff they just stood and stared whilst we ate. At no point did the owner come and say hello which is the norm in all the other places we have stayed. The lodges were clean but very hot, also no mosquito nets

Unfortunately,... read more our campsite appeared to have a significant rodent problem and we stayed only one night in the end. The staff did not seem overly concerned when we mentioned it, but in a month in Namibia, primarily camping, it was the only time we encountered rodents in any significant quantities. I hope the lodge can address this problem as it has great potential, and there are few options near Etosha's Galton Gate.

Staff was so nice, Jacob and Shermaine (correct ?) so helpful, he (Jacob) even offered to bake us some bread when we run out of it !! An appreciated added bonus, it's alway people who make the difference 🙂
There is a nice walk in the bush to an artificial waterhole and to a bird hide. Lovely to do at sunrise. The pool is very small. The entrance gate might not open at check-out locking you in !!! But a phone call will solve the problem, they didn't want us to go 🙂 More

  We spent one night in one of the tiny bungalows of KaokoBushLodge. The rooms are small, but the bedding is comfortable but lovely decorated. The thatched roofs keep it cool... read more and the fans keep the mosquitos at bay. We loved the design of the park. The lapa and restaurant are very stylishly furbished, overlooking a waterhole!
We had an excellent home-cooked dinner at the Tuskers Bar!
The staff is overflowing with friendliness. We sincerely recommend KaokoBush when you are in Kamanjab!

Dinner was OK, bed was comfortable, room had a fan (possibly AC? now I can't remember, as it wasn't hot enough to care), tap water was safe to drink although tasted pretty badly mineralized but to each their own.

This is more of a 'nice motel' than 'fancy in the bush lodge' but the price also matches that, at around US$100/night. We also saw a bunch of giraffes around the lodge both while entering and exiting, which was neat. All in all this is the kind of rare place I wish existed more in Namibia: a class of hotel between "fancy lodge" and "budget camping".

There is a small dip pool, but — rather unusually for Namibian lodges — there are no landscape views to be had from the lodge. In any case I get the feeling that this is for people who are passing through to Palmwag or Etosha so I doubt many people stay more than one night.
